Overview
Nothin But Git is a one day introduction to the git version control system. In this session you will learn how to get started using git for version control. More specifically, by the end of the session you will have comfortability with the following git functionality.
- Cloning a git repository
- Creating a git repository
- Adding
- Deleting
- Committing
- Branching
- Merging
- Pulling changes
- Rebasing
- Pusing changes
- Using Git in conjunction with GitHub
Prerequisites
- The desire to learn git!!
Hardware/Software Requirements
You will need to make sure that you have a configuration that will allow you to work effectively in a remote training venue. An ideal configuration would be as follows:
- Dual Monitor Setup
- HeadSet w/ microphone
- GoToMeeting Client
- Working Git Client
Timeline
- This is a one day course that runs from 9AM - 5PM (MST)
